Hello everybody, hope you are having an amazing day today. Today, I will show you a way to make a special dish, inari-zushi. One of my favorites. For mine, I am going to make it a bit unique. This will be really delicious.

Inari-zushi is one of the most favored of current trending foods in the world. It is enjoyed by millions daily. It’s simple, it is quick, it tastes delicious. Inari-zushi is something which I have loved my entire life. They’re nice and they look fantastic.

Inari Sushi (稲荷寿司, いなり寿司), or Inarizushi, is made of sushi rice that is stuffed inside seasoned deep-fried tofu pockets called Inari Age. Inarizushi - sushi rice stuffed in sweet soy sauce flavored tofu pouches.

To get started with this particular recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can have inari-zushi using 9 ingredients and 5 steps. Here is how you cook it.

The ingredients needed to make Inari-zushi:
  1. Get Sushi Rice *cooked from 180ml x 3 cups uncooked rice
  2. Prepare 12 pieces 'Inari-zushi no Moto' (Seasoned Abura-age)
  3. Make ready How to cook Abura-age from scratch
  4. Get *Note: If you want to cook Abura-age by yourself, here is the list of the ingredients
  5. Prepare 6 sheets Abura-age (thin fried tofu)
  6. Get 1 cup Dashi Stock *OR 1 cup Water & 1/2 teaspoon Dashi Powder
  7. Prepare 4 tablespoons Mirin
  8. Prepare 4 tablespoons Sugar
  9. Prepare 4 tablespoons Soy Sauce

Inari-zushi is abura-age (thin deep-fried tofu) cooked in a sweet sauce, with a filling of vinegar flavored rice. The rice filling can be as it is, or mixed with other ingredients such as sesame, carrots, shiitake. Named for the Shinto god Inari, Inarizushi is also known as "brown bag sushi" because the rice is packed in seasoned aburaage, or fried tofu pouches. Inari zushi is a casual sushi which is commonly made at home, not at sushi restaurants.

Steps to make Inari-zushi:
  1. Cut Abura-age in half and open them carefully. Pour very hot water over the Abura-age to remove oil from them.
  2. Place all ingredients in a saucepan and cook Abura-age until the sauce thickens. Let them cool in the sauce.
  3. Alternatively use ready-to-use 'Inari-zushi no Moto'. I recommend to empty the contents into a saucepan to heat, then cool. You can alter the flavour by adding more soy sauce or sugar.

  5. Make small Sushi Rice balls and wrap with bags of seasoned Abura-age.
