  2. Take the oil in a microwave safe bowl & put it inside the microwave. Heat the oil at high power for 1 minute
  3. Then add the bay leaf and cumin seeds into the oil and put the bowl back into the microwave & heat it at high power for 1 minute
  4. Then add the potatoes, cover the bowl & microwave it at high power for 3-4 minutes
  5. Now add the prawns, cover again and microwave for 3 minutes
  6. Then remove the bowl & add the tomato paste
  7. Add the turmeric powder & salt
  8. Then add the cumin powder & red chilli powder
  9. Mix everything very well, then put the bowl inside the microwave and microwave it for 2 minutes
  10. After that remove the bowl & stir everything well
  11. Now pour some water to make a thin gravy or in Bengali we call it as 'jhol'
  12. Then put the bowl into the microwave & cook it uncovered for 1 minute
  13. Then cover the bowl & microwave it for another couple of minutes
  14. Lastly mix the garam masala powder & chopped coriander leaves with the dalna & it's ready to serve
  15. Serve the 'dalna' with steaming hot rice
